Air Senegal Rolls Out Moment’s Flymingo Box Onboard Its Fleet

Paris, 3rd February 2022 – Moment, a French tech company specialised in entertainment and passenger experience solutions for the travel industry, has been selected by Air Senegal to install its In-Flight Entertainment system (W-IFE), the Flymingo Box, aboard the airline’s fleet.

Air Senegal has installed the Flymingo Box system onboard its fleet of A321 and A319 aircraft.

The Flymingo Box: a state-of-the-art solution

The Flymingo Box server embarks state-of-art technology that allows aircraft passengers to connect to a local cloud and access streaming content and digital services directly from the browser of their connected devices (smartphone, tablet or pc). The Flymingo Box is a hybrid solution, available in battery or aircraft-powered version, that can store a catalogue of 10,000 hours of content and to broadcast it simultaneously to 100 passengers onboard, a distinguishing feature for airlines.

Air Senegal’s decision to choose Flymingo Box

Air Senegal operates its flights from Blaise Diagne International Airport in Dakar and serves 19 routes including domestic and regional destinations, as well as four European destinations, including Paris, Marseille and Barcelona.

After studying several solutions specialised in the digitisation of passenger entertainment, Air Senegal chose The Flymingo Box, the W-IFE solution developed by Moment and already adopted by international customers. Air Senegal strongly believe that the Flymingo box is remarkable for its fundamental characteristics, such as easy battery change, effortless installation in the aircraft, as well as dynamic content updates.

Named « CFI Most Promising Regional Airline » in 2018, the Senegalese airline now seeks to accelerate its development, by focusing particularly on new routes expansion, the acquisition of new aircraft and the integration of innovative onboard solutions to develop its commercial offering and optimise the passenger experience of its current fleet.
